Looking for a PSU

Hi,

I am looking for a PSU that achieves the following:

1. ~600w this will be plenty for my 2500k and 560 but I want some headroom
2. Fully Modular/ hybrid modular with minimal cables
3. Cables have to look nice (the corsair ax series are great but come in 750w as a minimum)
4. 80 plus silver or better


and lastly I would like a quiet(ish) one.

I know that's a tall order. But all I can see is the 750w/ 760w from corsair that fits that bill.

Alternatively how much work is it to braid my own cables? has anyone done a guide on this to make sure I don't go killing components.

I did take a look at the strider's, but the cables weren't pretty enough for my liking. I would have to re-braid them.

Assuming the cables still look like this.

Please be more specific. Like I said above, I was unable to find a corsair unit that fell with in those specs. 750w is just overkill for a 2500k / GTX 560

Forget the overkill blabling for a few minutes , it will only draw what it needs,
so i would almost say 'future-proof" but HEY i didn't.......

They do look like that yeah. But considering they cost less than half the price of the Corsair units, it just depends how against braiding you are. Could do it yourself, or employ someone to do it and still save yourself a fair bit of money.

It's up to you. I have nothing against Corsair - I use one myself and love it. But they are still expensive, and is it worth the price over the Silverstone just for the cables?

Corsair or SeaSonic (SeaSonic supplies a lot of PSU's with their internals). Don't really feel like looking for one, you should do your own homework!

Spoon, i also run a 2500K and a 560Ti....just ordered an AX 760I myself to. i know it's overkill, but it is a high end peice and hopefully it will never burn out (within 10 years anyways). be sure to post pix of it installed!

IDK the braiding on the AX series look stellar. It may not need it. NZXT are kind enough to include an 8-pin extension which is individually sleeved.
