hi, what sort of laptop would £600 get you? is it enough to get one with a dedicated gpu?

yes, take a look on laptops direct. I have one with an ati 3100 or something along those lines.

on the lines of £600 you could get a acer aspire 7735 with a ati 4570 - 4GB ram - 320gb HDD - 17" screen - intel C2D t6500

that is a pritty nice laptop for the cash and the 4650 is around the same performance as the 9500gt which rougthly plays L4D high settings around 20-30 fps

they also have a bigger version of that laptop a 17", but comes with a 512MB Nvidia® GeForce® 105M Graphics (512mb) and is ddr2, it also costs more... about £705 with same specs as above, but with ddr2 2GB CORSAIR XMS2 800MHz SODIMM.

if i bought the enigma (15.6"), would it be possible to overclock the gpu to be the same speed as a 4670 since the 4650 has ddr3 memory?
