Its not that though, he doesnt even explain the hardware as if he owns it. It sounds like hes copied and pasted a description from a website or such and 'modified' it a little bit so that it doesnt look fishy.

altho im pleased with oc3d's response - is there anyway of somehow preventing this?

i know some of it may be down to common sense but can you think of some kind of safeguard?

such as all items must be provided with a picture in front of the thread they are selling in?

I agree that it's a good thing he's gone and yes we have tried to help the people who have been scammed in every way possible but in the end it's bloody hard to prevent really, just trust people who've been on the forum longer than a day or so and who's name you've seen around. If you're at all worried contact a mod BEFORE you buy and always ask to see pics of the actual item

Most people are genuine but you get the odd total imbecile spoiling it for everyone else.

I think we've had more than enough discussion of this topic and he's had enough exposure in all honestly, there's not any more to say about low-life's like that
