Hello all,

I cant install the Logitech SetPoint 4.24 drivers.

I have SetPoint 4.00 installed and when I try and install 4.24 it says:

"Please contact you manufacturer of your computer to obtain the lastest version of your Bluetooth software.

You must upgrade yoour bluetooth software before installing Bluetooth components from Logitech.

If you want to skip installing software for bluetooth, and install the rest of the software for your Logitech devices, click the Skip button."

So i click skip because I only want the drivers for my mouse and it says:

"Sorry, you are installing the wrong version of Logitech SetPoint software to support your logitech devices for Bluetooth. We need to stop this installation. Please go to www.logitech.com/downlodas to download and install SetPoint 2.22 software. Then upgrade it to the newer version."

But ive just said dont install bluetooth components! and why would I want to install version 2.22 when I have version 4.00 installed?

Does anyone know how to fix this? I have tripple checked that im installing SetPoint for 32bit XP.

Thanks in advance.

Tim.

what mouse do you have?

do you need the bluetooth version of the drivers? setpoint424bt.exe

if not, have you tried the normal ones (without the "bt" at the end)

i hadn't realised there'd been any updates (been using 4.00 with my G7) thanks for the heads up ;)

sorry i can't be more helpful :(

[edit] no problems in stalling in vista x64

I have a MX518 so dont need bluetooth drivers. I have no idea why it doesnt skip the bluetooth drivers when i say skip.

Also tried to update my bluetooth drivers, but they didnt detect my bluetooth dongle even tho windows did. Sigh @ my pc.

have you tried installing without the dongle plugged in *shrug*

i've just installed setpoint424.exe in xp32 with no problems whatsoever

It tells me to plug it in when installing my Widcomm bluetooth drivers, then doesnt detect it, even tho it pops up in the system tray.

Have you uninstalled the old drivers before you install the new?

The old Logitech or Widcomm bluetooth drivers?

i didn't uninstall the 4.0 drivers before running the 424 installer

does unplugging the bluetooth dongle make any difference to the logitech driver install?
