whats a printer... >:3 i dont have one on my gaming PC... mind you its currently under my bed in its box gettin dusty.... no ink lol

WELL GET WRITING :)

if you want to oc a Q6600 the easiest way, get 3ghz stable by raising the fsb to 333, but dont try anything without readin up on it first, i will not take liablitly for unstable oc's causing hardware faults.

its just the basic way to 3ghz.. :)

Q6600 has a multi of 9, so a FSB of 300 will = 2.7ghz, not 3.0ghz. Need FSB of 333 for 3.0ghz (333 x 9).

ok the only thing thats giving me stick is that i cant find the correct voteages for my board which in turn is a pain in the ass,

i have also fitted my north brigde with a small fan to keep the temp down in it, also is there something i can monitor my north temp with?

CoreTemp, SpeedFan and Lavalys Ultimate arethe apps that I use.

this may sound stupid but i have looked all over Lavalys software and i cant find any info on temps for my north brigde, want to give me a clue to where it can be found,

also if anyone has a ASUS P5Q - Pro motherboard and has overclocked it can you help me out with the voltages

I'll only tell you if you promise to give AntiHerouk his avatar back and get your own !

well i dont know who antiherouk is and i would use my other one but the file size is 5kb over upload limit ¬_¬

ok to help me i have dont a screen shot of the most popular things i see in OC pics

but something dont add up to me, all the ram speed i see are 5-5-5-15 where as mine is 5-5-5-18 does that make much of a differents?

Here the screenshot

settings.jpg

EDIT!!!!:

Ok i just tried overclockin my CPU with the settings for P5Q Pro motherboard with Q6600 but i went back to default more or less after rebooting, ok it registered @ 3.2Ghz but CPUID went nutty sayin my CPU was running at 79c and coretemp said 32c. started Prime95 and CPU temp went to 62c and that worries me....

the setttings i was using was:

bios version 0506

AI twicker menu; settings

does this sound safe to you, of is it need some fine tuning, i think i may wait until saturday when im off work to run it all day so i can keep a eye on prime95, also im thinkin of gettin this watercooling Here what you think?

62 is the Max that intel state. Keep below 60 ;D

I wouldnt use auto as it isnt set and can shoot up and cause silly temps when that amount of V aint needd.

watercooling, I have no experience but the general idea is that kits are bad and you get more cooling for your money by buying parts. think of it like a prebuilt pc. its better if you build it yourseld.

when you say put it on auto what parts do i want to put on auto??

also can you see anything wrong with them setting for my PC?

lastly on the note of cooling what would be better water cooling or a better CPU fan and heatsink?

i found this on the place i got all my parts from you think is a better cooler for OCin to 3.2Ghz???
