The only "Real" none conductive fluids are not with in the normal price range of any thing you would consider. We have some 3M product here but it will set you back between £45.00 to £125 Per Kilo (1/2 Ltr approx) depending on which one you would like. All so they are 4x heaver than water and all so require specialist equipment to run.

Thanks for that information. I will just have tou double check my fittings and make sure they don't leak before I instal/run the system.

How do you suggest I clean out the rads prior to instal? Is using tap water a bad idea, or should I just run clean distilled water only? How many litters should I run through it to be sure it is clean?

I run tap water though with white vinger and then do it for about 1 hours, then flush with our water (how ever you just need to use DI water) give it a dammed good rinse when finished and you should be oky.

I should fluch it with the pre-mix water? I was just going to fill it with tap water (vinegar is a good idea, thanks), and flush it through. Then I was going to use the pre-mixes.

Where do I buy these pre-mixes that you're talking about? They already have color, and anti-algea fluid mixed in, right?

...then flush with our water...

This is one thing we spent a good few years experimenting with and talking to chemists and colorists about to find out which dyes are compatible with which products. Mayhems only use dyes that can be mixed with each other with out causing a mess in some ones system. Out of over 200+ different types of dyes we have tested we only have a sub set of 10 different ones we use because of incompatibility.

So, what is this water, and where can I purchase it?

DI water? it's deionized water, basically all the impurities and ions removed making it non conductive and pure.

You can get it from petrol stations and supermarkets for a couple of quid a litre. You will need some biocide to prevent agile growth if you use DI water though.

I wanted to ask... I know that there are all necessary chemicals in Mayhems premix and concentrate but what about Mayhems dye??

Mayhems dyes, is just colour, if you add it to DI water you will still need corrosion inhibitors and biocides before you can use it in your rig.

Can I inquire about "corrosion inhibitors"? I know that you need silver, or a liquid biocide added to the loop, but what about corrosion? What causes it, and how do we prevent it?

We put corrosion inhibitors" in pre mixes but we don't sell it separately. Its only needed with mixed metals but it "Does" prolong the life of plated metals which are abundant in the modern day water cooling system.

you should start making it then

If just using water i use just DI water + Liquid Biocide. Its up to you if you would like to add any thing else.
