So as my last thread was deleted for some reason, Probably among the thousands of Chinese spam threads by accident, Any plans to limit new user threads yet ? ^_^

I've noticed this is happening at an increased rate lately.

It's all being worked on fella, we're dealing with the spam as it comes in. Your usual glorious forums will continue business as usual.

Its not fair to limit new legit users Dice - it will just put people off.

It causes enough confusion now when people try to post build logs and it goes into moderation

I notice these Spam messages of late all contain the same key words, is there anyway of blocking any message that has them?

Could work, It will block that specific language but then again if someone wants to speak Mandarin or Cantonese they would be wasting their time coming to a 100% English speaking site.

Best thing to do if you see spam threads it to report them. That notifies all the mods so one of us can take care of it even if a moderator isn't online at the time or are away from their computer.

Yeah but I don't want to bother you guys with a report. Not all of you get paid, so I personally don't want to bug you about it.

Honestly, it doesn't bother us, we know what we signed up for . It actually helps us quite a bit. I know for me I may be at home, but not on my computer. If a report comes in I can get on quick and take care of it. If I'm busy I don't. No harm done.

I no longer see the spam.
I found that by sleeping late seems to stop the spam so just have a lay in everyday

Whereas I now feel the need to get up earlier... Nothing like a swing of the banhammer and a read of the scroll of deletion to set yourself up for the day.

The best feeling in the world honestly. Getting up and using power immeaditely sets the day up like nothing else!
