LG boosts the gaming prowess of OLED with new 0.02ms panels

Not sure how to feel about OLED for monitor. A TV definitely purchase one but while burn in is definitely over talked about, in a monitor setting you are technically setting it up to fail with how static OS UIs are.

Honestly it's a bit of a pain in the butt as you have to have a few things in place, Hide the taskbar, Don't stay too long on any static object, Ingame try and make sure there's nothing static for too long, Change your desktop wallpaper to black etc... and then every 4-6 hours you need to do a panel refresh which pops up in the middle of the screen, It turns off, Does a refresh, Then turns back on.

OLED for gaming is next level, Absolutely beautiful, But the anti-burn in practise is a pain in the butt.

Well that's a real shame, have been eyeing the LG UltraGear 32GS95UE-B for some time now. Absolutely love the minimal, bezelless design etc.

Although when reading what you guys just said about OLED, I got very hesitant. Due to I am the opposite of all of that essentially. I have often static stuff on my screen for longer periods etc.

Do the current OLEDs on the market not have built in automatic burn in prevention like the TVs do? Seems odd. You shouldn't need to do a manual pixel refresh.
