can i upgrade my lenovo ideacenter Kseries 's CPU?

Which model was it? I just upgraded my buddies 3000 J series, I think thats what its called. His was AMD based so it was an easy upgrade to toss in a Phenom x4 over the oem Athlon II,

IdeaCentr K230 53593AU. it has a core2duo 2.8 GHz and i want to upgrade to a core 2 quad 2.66GHz.

That will work. As they both are 775 socket.

Well his lenovo was AMD based, But the replacement method is similar. Its super easy. Just run it for awhile, get it warm. Unplug it. Pull off the heat sync, pull out the cpu. Put the new one in. Apply thermal compound. Slap on the fan and heatsync. Boom your done. Heres a video, not the exact same cpu, but installation is identical.

yea but i just used my dad's credit card for my new gtx460 hawk talon. he wont let me use it for another month even tho imma pay him cash -.-
