Lenovo will soon be increasing their prices in the UK in order to compensate for currency fluctuations post-Brexit, following ASUS, Dell and HP.

Mate, we've had much more security even if we're in the EU. Have you tried crossing the english channel recently? Its much easier to cross land than that splishy splashy blue (ok, brown)thingy. If you do it legally, we also don't take in nearly as many immigrants as either France or Germany. That, coupled with a relatively strong intelligence service, has really saved things for us thus far.

Anyway enough using people's deaths to further political motive.


The 10% across the board from most manufacturers is a bit of a pain. Its not as much of a pain if you don't get a large amount of funding from the EU but for the meantime, it could arguably be worse.

They aren't charging you more, your currency has lost value, they are charging you pretty much the same they did before in dollar. Why would a company cut the UK any slack, you get the exact same treatment anyone else gets.

Actually, unless you are Apple, profit margins on laptops and to some extent desktops are pretty small. We're talking at most about 10% (pre retailers cut) from what I can find. And that was in 2007. Considering the pound is performing a bit 'eh' its reasonable amounts of padding.

I have to say I actually agree with this. It's just a shame that the whole market doesn't shift accordingly. I'm English, but my wages haven't gone up 10% to counter the GPB devaluation.

I think people are rightly upset because while we aren't being charged more in terms of USD value we are being charged more of our income. The little guy gets hit with both sides of the sword; businesses raise the price of everything and they use the situation as an excuse to not give a pay rises. Businesses win, people lose.
