I don't understand why it takes so long to make a game that is so simple. It wasn't depth or complexity that made the first two worth playing it was the very simple play style and the fact you could play with three mates.

The magic of the first two wasn't so much the game. The magic was all created by the circumstances you and a few chums could create.

That pees me off tbh. So many companies are now messing around on everything but games themselves.

Nine or ten years between releases just isn't good enough. What the hell do they expect us to do for nine years?

I agree though, but ive come to accept that valve is just another smart cookie in terms of sucking money out of people, i hate steam for what it is these days, but i'm quite tied to it because that is where my games are.

I already given up on half life, there is no point in holding out for it anymore, and now they just want multiplayer games to sell mods and cosmetic crap.
