Hey guys :)

Just wanting your opinion on what would be best LED strips or even lighting for my case?

My case im running is a Fractal Design R4 i currently have a blue scheme in my computer

bare in my mind i did buy 5 fans that are non LED

(2 silverstone AP121) and Corsair AF 120 x3

so pretty much there will be no LED's in my computer cept that annoying blue light on the MSI Mpower mobo :P

iv also got blue cables but i was trying decide between white LED or blue LED

also which ones would be the best and is there a way you can control the LED by turning them off or something? or it cant be done?

thanks guys here is a pic of my case n.n

Hi jarryy
It depends on what kind of lightning you want or what you wanna spend.
But i would probably go with something like bitfenix alchemy led strip or something like that as they look neat and is able to be cut to lenghts to match the case and you can also attach another strip if it is too short.

Blue or white? that is totaly up to you as if you want white to just light it up and not afflect the colours or blue if you want it all to look blue

And what ever led strip you are getting you could always ad a power switch from the molex to the led strip with some soldering if it dosen't come with it.

(I just ordered some white 5050 led strip from ebay for 4USD yesterday to get in my rig when im done modding my chassi)

thats awesome bro:) buying the nzxt ones at my local store (didnt even know they sold them) haha but im going to buy the blue ones :D

I'm going to get the NZXT led kit in white as well. But before I do, I'm wondering - as the leds are 85mm apart, would just one 1m strip be enough to light up a Storm Trooper? My plan is to have a line along the top near the door and then one down the middle where the HDD cages are, cause there's a neat place to place them so that they can't be seen, and then just run the remaining down the bottom to the front to place the controller behind the removable CM Storm cover and covering the remaining led's with a black tape so they don't lit unnecessary bits. 2m would clearly be an overkill, wouldn't it? I've considered Bitfenix, but they're twice the cost and don't have a controller. What I'm looking for is a slight glow that I can switch off when I don't want them to disturb me from work...

Ok, that's just what I wanted to hear. Thanks.

I was also thinking that it might not look so good cause of the particular led's they use, which give a spotlight effect rather than glow. But I suppose that in a black case it's not such a big case, cause the colour absorbs the white light anyway and you can't see that much of the spotlight. 1m down the middle and the top it is then. Thanks again!
