Did Nvidia PR write this? RTX 3080 performance for $100 less, 2.5 years after the launch of the 3080, is hardly impressive IMO. The power efficiency and little extra VRAM is nice to have, so I suppose it might be the "least underwhelming" value proposition of the 40-series thus far?

Time you add in AIB tax it won't be any cheaper than the 3080 FE.

Jensun needs leather jackets, trust them to give you the minimum, but i highly doubt outside of the limited nvidia store that these will be £600.

I want my next card to be 32GB vram so might be a gen or two.

while inflation is one thing, the prices on vram are down since the last gen it's not much to expect more vram, like the HUB video alien linked even 12gb makes it close.

I honestly feel nvidia are going to get heavy competion next gen and either they change or they start losing market share it's that simple.

Don't believe the BS. Inflation is something made up and invented by greedy rich people and then used as an excuse to take money from every one else.

That? is all a veil. An excuse, a sales pitch. It's the main excuse used by one of the most successful computer salesman ever in the UK. I am not going to name names, but that and "currency exchange rates" are the biggest excuses he uses when the company he works for keep rising prices.

At some point in the line ONE guy could be less greedy. But that would go against absolutely every "human" instinct.
