Nice, but beware of the bar graph scale. I hate it when reviews do this kind of thing to make 200 points seem like a whole lot more.

Totally agree only 200 point difference and it looks 3 times the performance of 7900GTX .

Well to be honest its just a few paragraph and a graph doesnt justify a benchmark between those 2 cards. Secondly Ati might win 3D Mark 05 and loose on other tests or vice versa who knows . Other factors include overclocked 7900GTX as we know they run on 90nm and should overclock well .So i am sure other hardware reviewers will get different results. We ll just have to wait and see.

There is however 1 interesting product and it is Ati X1800 GTO version which is gonna be based on R520 with 12 pipes (4 disabled again ). Maybe it can be unlocked and overclocked to 1800XTX speeds or close to its performance. Its going to be cheap too between $179 to $249.

Hey Kempez , whats the story with people flashing 1900XT's with 1900XTX bios files. I ve read in few places and it seems working fine for them with default speeds. Do you know anything about this.

Recently posted a news on oc3d and there are reviews of 7900GTX all over the web and looking at the performance levels nothing special to beat ATI 1900 XT-X never mind beating it hardly catches up with Ati so kudos to Ati for this round.

Also 1800GTO seems like its based off 1800XL to fill price / performance gap and looks like it performs better then Nvidia's GS range. I am sure if Nvidia release a product to counter 1800GTO performance Ati will release 1800GTO2 based of 1800GT. Lets hope it can be unlocked and overclock well :)

Also I've noticed, previous computers between amd and intel processors that scored relatively the same, the intel ones with x1900xt-x setups perform better than the matching amd with x1900xt-x.

Seems the cards perform better on an intel setup!

Could that be due to Ati drivers.

Nope, its more of how GPU's work with thru the northbridge logic and logic execution unit in intel cpu's. Its more efficienct in that department. Video-encoding of sorts.
