Looks to me they are well behind. Doesnt that card have freeview coz analog is going down in a few years in some parts of UK

Is there a "top tuner" to get for digital/sky? Might hook it up to my parent's sky box

Yeah, UK will be fully digital at 2012, with switchovers happening region by region from 2008-2012.

Over 20 years ago there was tech available that would allow u to watch tv as the background to ur desktop - not pcs I hasten to add.

Tell me, can u use this card to watch tv as a background on XP or Vista ?

I don`t mean pip windowed type thing, and I don`t mean saving the video and playing it after.

And yes, tv tune cards in the UK should be digital if ur purchasing from this year, unless the rf card is dirt cheap.

Looking @ the Leadtek 2100 specs on the Leadtek website there is nothing that mentions anything about Freeview. I don't think that this peice of hardware is specifically aimed for the UK since when entering the Leadtek website, there was no sight of UK when selecting the region with only France, Germany and Czech being the only three in the Europe Region.

Indeed, similarly to satellite feeds, mainland europe still maintains a wealth of analogue fees. Sure there are english speaking ones, but the mass had jumped ship a long time ago.

Used to like analogue satellite.

I've had a Leadtek freeview card in my HTPC for over a year now? I think this must be freeview compatible, surely?
