Borderlands movie launches with horrific review scores

Wow! Even for rotten tomatoes... I'm generally skeptical about Rotten Tomatoes numbers but metacritix also agrees with a 27 and 30 score. I'd probably not what it even if both said around a 70 but oh well, I guess this means they really made an effort there. Must be one of the most successful production efforts at making a terrible movie.

It looks like a porn parody. Nothing about this movie looked good from the start so I'm not surprised that it turned out to be terrible.

the cast ensemble is enough to know it would be terrible.

Meh I don't think so. JLC has been in many big movies and has been brilliant. Early Halloween movies, Trading Places etc.

They are all proven actors. You can't blame them really for a badly written movie.

I watched Penguinz talking about it and he got it spot on. Borderlands 1&2 were brilliant. 3? just wasn't funny at all, and neither was the pre sequel.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands was the best since 2. It was genuinely funny at times (especially the Murphs). But yeah, comedy wise it has lost its way IMO.

Its not the actors themselves JLC is amazing. Its the fact they mashed so many together that just dont seem to click. Ive seen the movie for free and its exactly how it is. Top actors that dont synergise or play off each other well at all. I cant even rate JLC very highly in this one. So much of the expressions were overly forced like it was tailored for under 10 yr olds. You know the facial expressions I mean on kid shows. forced and exaggerated. This is how borderlands was.

Its like watching the French football team. 11 superstars but barely work well together.

Haha both know what you mean with the kid shows and love the football analogy!

I mean, to be fair though, an 4,3/10 rating on IMDB isn't very promising... kinda horrendous to be fair.
Especially considering with such an ludicrous budget of $100 million to create the movie.

I agree completely. I am beginning to wonder if the first two were a fluke, or, whether the company all of a sudden went very woke.

It absolutely vacuumed any humour out of BL3 completely. Promises they made were also not in the game (like the Dayum Dayum Dayum gun that was supposed to fire burgers).

Tiny Tinas was wonderful. Very woke, but it still had plenty of real comedic moments in it.
