LCD Screen Pro's / Con's

Dave - if your in the UK go for www.aria.co.uk

I got my Ilyama Prolite 17" TFT (10ms) and it rocks. It was £194 or something like that. Also they have a 14ms or 16ms (I can't recall exactly) 17" TFT for $140 and its about as good as you're gonna get for that sort of money. They also offer a dead pixel checking service, but its £14 :-(

They also have a nice Dell 17" there for around £160 that isn't too bad either (16ms).

They are quick to deliver and the quality is excellent. Good feedback as well. Give Aria a try if you're looking for a monitor! :D

My nec crt is much nicer than my benq 567s-v2 15 inch lcd, the lcd is native 1024x768 so i cant go higher and the contrast and brightness just seems off, the color is much more rich on the nec. i just wish my nec wasnt 40 pounds and took up so much space on my desktop. since the benq isnt the greatest for image quality i just use it in dual view to watch tv while im doin stuff on the pc.

LCDs are great and don`t rip the eyes out of you when you use them for any lenght of time. CRT`s while great initially take up huge space but give a great picture initially but then you feel like the backs of your eyes are being scratched. Have a 17" Philips which is excellent and an LG Flatron 15" bith of which I am very happy with as don`t see ghosting on games.
