LCD Contrast

Hi guys,

Does anyone know how to change the contrast on the LCD's for the Mach II?

It's starting to bug me now having a really dark box around all the letters, and I've seen other LCD's with no boxes at all. I remember there being a thread somewhere saying you could do it but there was no expanation on how to do it , think it was on here actually.

Please someone help.

There is a small adjustable pot that you can move clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the contrast. Its located on the pcb, at the rear of the unit. I'll try and dig out a pic.

yep as phil said

its on the bottom of the pcb in the middle

looks like a screw without the "cross" shaped head...just stick a screwdriver on top of it and adjust it yourself

its really easy

Bigges prob for me was always locating it as its "somewhat"hidden as you look for it from the left side of the mach 2 unit

Ok after trying for ages I still cannot manage to find this twiddly thing . Is it at all possible for someone to post some pics up of what I'm looking for and where it is please?

I can later but it is the little round thing above your lcd cable next to the silver rectangle thing loool

Above the 11th pin on your lcd cable plug

Here's a pic for anyone who doesnt know.

The little twidly thing next to the silver block as fatty said. I used a PCB track cutter to alter mine as screwdrivers seem to slip. Left is lighter, right is darker.
