I am looking for a laptop for £500 (Hard I Know)

I will buy from any online place

Must have 1Gb of ram

Atm I'm going for this

I'd say this one. This one's also suitable, but not as good. I have the 5672WLMI-166 and it's a great piece of kit for the price .

Both of them look good to me. Reformat them as soon as you get them and youll be sorted.

I know the acer one that I liked to allows you the free upgrade to vista I wonder if the two Phnom_Penh listed offer the same?

All Acers do.

Both of them look good to me. Reformat them as soon as you get them and youll be sorted.

Yep that's what I did. I also deleted the recovery partition, but when you first turn the laptop on it makes you back it up to dvd anyway.

Yer, Been wanting one for years but they have come down in price a lot and ACERs are very well priced imo should be getting it today as long as there in stock

Just an update,

Went for the laptop on Sunday but they were out of stock so I went to the next comet

They gave me the wrong one at first so I had to wait around for another one, Wrong one again

The man decided to have a look on their intranet and couldn’t find it so he had to go on their site and look for it, after 45mins I got the laptop

Got home booted it up, WINDOWS ERROR!

I didn’t wanna format it this soon but i did as I didn’t wanna take it back

comet are the same group as pc world/dixons. they sounds like there average staff member.
