Laptop advice

My friend wants a new laptop for gaming, Photoshop, browsing and watching movies. Her budget is £1300

She isn't PC savvy and I haven't really dealt with laptops. I was looking at an I5 with 8GB of RAM and a 2GB 780M. Sorage wise I was thinking of a 120GB SSD for Windows and games, though 120GB isn't much these days and 1TB for her images and other stuff she wants to back up.

Only website I have looked at is pcspecialist, if you have any other websites and thoughts.

Many thanks.

Its not going to be easy to find a laptop with an i5 and a 780m, because most will have i7s. So far, I havent found anything

This is what I came up with. Obviously you can swap the quad core i7 out for a dual core i5 and save some money, but I decided to use the budget to the fullest potential. There's also a 17" version of this barebones if she wants a bigger laptop:

Edit; Having trouble getting the image to load in the default size. Hang on

That's fine, I can read it. That looks good to me. Guessing that's from pcspecialist?

I think she will be more than happy with that spec. It will do everything she wants. Gaming etc. Thanks Feronix :)

I will be helping her configuring it and ordering. This place has been so helpful, the members are really great and I'm really glad I joined this forum. Thanks guys, I'll shut up now :P

Once she gets the laptop, could you tell us what its like? Ive been considering a custom laptop from pcspecialist. Thanks.

You should only ever abandon to a plebtop if you need move your entire setup on a daily basis. The best combo is to have a nice proper rig and an ultrabook(lenovo ftw)/m**book.

I like how you censored your bad language :D I agree on the ultrabook thing, and am considering purchasing one, but Im really not sure.

I love my current rig, though I want to change some bits but I also want a laptop too. Especially if going away and stuff. Not sure if I want a gaming laptop though.
