staatic shouldnt be to big a concern if done the way he shows bent pins well always a risk just dont man handle it to badly lol or maybe find something to use to protect them like maybe a bar of soap for the holder just make sure ya clean it good afterwards

watch your timps when doing the tist,L O L!

should i do this on my cooler as well? cobberplate i think.

Do this damage the chip in anyway? Or is it just the opposite, as it bringing the temps down?

well damage is obvious lol it removes metal from the top sp forget warranties. but cooler temps is what its all about been around for a long time now I used to lap processors but havent in ages. Also dont know if its benifical for current proc's he was using a LGA775 E6600 IIRC

ok,bad choice of words. That it get damaged is obivious, loosing the warrenty, removing metal.. BUT, do it damage the life length of the cpu?

I must admit im alittle skeptic to this, hehe

Well I got a BSOD yesterday because of not opening the windows (folding while everyone was out) and the room got too hot and CPU overheated. If it can even shave 5-10*c off my 1090 then I'll be pleased

Look at the westcoastmods tutorial too see if your cpu is uneven

10 degrees is a bit ambitious unless your chip is a real dog

turn down the volts on ur cpu 1.5volts is alot for 24/7 use

ok lol but 1.5v is still alot for 24/7 use and can shortent cpu life. if ur just folding with it do ya need 4.1Ghz
