EDIT: CHECK AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE FOR MY 7950/Core i5 upgrade!

Hey, well scored some NZXT extension cables for like 20% of their retail price since they were spares from a guy, so I thought I would rebuild my rig and try them out.

Got a cool set of NZXT Sleeved LED's, there is 2 meters worth

Rig specs are in my signature.

Here's an internal shot:

And the rear cables

Here's a better shot. Looking that bit better.

Really liking the look of my rig now, with the side panel on it looks fantastic.

Yes. I do realise I forgot to tuck the LED's back, one of the adhesive clips had come loose.

Looks good mate,

Quick questions - the extension cables, do they plug into the existing cables or replace them?

Thanks!

Just hook them into your existing cables. TBH most people, including myself, use them for looks more than for cable length

Yeah i was just wondering because my PSU is like half modular and the non-modular part happens to be most of the cables you see. Good to know, thanks

Hopefully mine will be as neat as yours soon

Is it bad that just from the photo I think i may prefer the 24 pin and the PCI-E cables to the others available, im sure Tom might wade in and destroy me for saying so

. They just look neat and tidy when they are like that. Its a nice build either way i think tho!

Well, I bought some new parts, so basically what I have is a new machine with the same case PSU, looking pretty good imo.

Im still waiting on my new case fans to come in, so right now its only got an old 140mm intake.

hands down brilliant job uve done their m8

keep up the good work and enjoy ur sleak build

not only the cables but the whole build looks striking, i have seen some of late for sale online here and you wouldn't believe it if you saw them... but if i where in the market for buying one rather than building this would certainly attract my attention..

Nicely done mate.

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm really liking my rig now. Got some Zaward Golf G3 140mm case fans yesterday, they provide a bit more light into the case. The i5 2500K is at 4GHz auto volts, passed 15hrs of P95, will crank up the multi again tonight and see how it goes. Still haven't done much in the way of gaming with the new 7950, my copy of BF3 is coming next week so will play that a fair bit
