Koolance Reservoir and Pump, RP-1200

Hi guys,

Looking into water-cooling my new rig - will be my first major water cooling project.

So been looking at one of these http://koolance.com/...?path=0_122_126

What are your thoughts on them? Any good - better brand or product?

How big should a reservoir be or is this semi-irrelevant?

I mainly like the above because its nice and neat to mount, no having to juggle mounting odd shaped pumps or reservoirs.

But I am looking at some XS-PC stuff because of their easy mount options as well. Again thoughts on this brand?

All advice/help is appreciated.

Cheers

It seems like a good idea, but I think that price is too steep. An XS-PC Bay-res and pump combination is what i'd use.

But, if you're asking about how reliable Koolance is - it's a top notch company when it comes to components such as this, so no worries there.

Why dont you just post pictures, do you not realise how ANNOYING having to open links are when you are trying to help someone quickly?

Id have answered but Ive not got time to open 20 million links.

Sorry - didn't think it would annoy you to that extreme.

look at it like this,

A reservoir isn't really required, it's there for helping to fill the rig and potentially for looks.

Myself i would go for something out of the way like a D5 pump and maybe a bay res or just a plain cylinder which you could hide. like an EK reservoir.

The xspc 750 you were looking at can make a bit of noise, so if you don't mind the noise there good and will have a higher flow rate then the one you mentioned in the initial post.

I would imagine that having a loop without a reservoir would be next to impossible to set up, as you'd need to get it COMPLETELY filled with no air bubbles whatsoever.

Reservoir is for looks and/or for helping you maintain the system.

Example, you could use T-line or rad that have bleed port.
