Kingdom Come Deliverance shatters KickStarter Goal- Will it be the next Star Citizen?

Never heard that one before.
You must have some postfx setting on that's making it feel like that.

star citizen on max settings has it, crysis 3 has it.
the only way to make it look smooth is to get ~120fps. i don't even want to try it with my new monitor because i fear then 120fps won't be enough anymore to make it playable.

Seems more and more of these kickstarter games are using CryEngine 3? I wonder why? There are so many engines out there it's weird many big name kickstarters choose CE3?

Licensing costs maybe? I've always wondered about how much licensing an engine costs, and how the business works when it comes to that stuff. Another factor might be good development tools. From what I heard back in the old days, some engines were much easier to build from than others.

That is without a doubt true.

Licensing depends though. Publishers usually ask for buttloads of money. Hence why Frostbite 3 is really only used by EA because they ask for so much money that only people they own can use it as an example.

it's time for idtech to return in all of its glory!

after he finished work on idtech 5.

also oculus now gave him the job to develop games/applications the rift can work with very well, so he might make a new engine.

if rage is anything to go by, the IDTech 5 engine you make some beautiful worlds

idtech5 is beautiful.
rage was garbage though. it completely boggles my mind why they haven't disabled bhopping in the game. i can bhop faster than the cars can drive.
and it's not like they aren't aware of that.

i really liked Rage's combat the AI was nice and responsive

it was a console game on a PC engine. the result is pc gamers break the game to pieces and console gamers find it boring.

actually i played it on console hahaha, i didn't think it was boring just ended too quickly

you cant say its completely broken because of that, its not like your forced to do it

once you know it you can't stop. that's like forcing yourself to not use sprint.
the whole reason i bought the game was to see how the movement would work.
