Not a huge fan of the backplate, but the cooler looks cool imo.

Haven't seen the video yet though, watching it now.

EDIT: now that I've seen it on video the backplate looks quite nice actually.

This would have been a great idea had they done it when the 980 launched. Sadly I feel the 980 is a little dated and does not have enough VRAM to be a real contender so it all just feels a little too late and rather expensive.

I'd love to see this philosophy on the 980ti though.

^ +1, I feel exactly same now to be honest. For some reason the 980 feels a bit dated, especially since the 980Ti and 390X are soon landing.
