AMD Radeon HD 7950 had launched, from our review, we could see that the graphics card even performed better than GTX 580, which is supposed to a great alternative of the latter.

In spite of such condition, NVIDIA still doesn’t show off their "weapon" to fight back. However, entire NVIDIA Kepler Line-up was revealed by LenZFire, the information covered specifications, price and release day.

As the leaked chart shown, die size of GK110 is 550mm², which is not only bigger than 365mm² of Radeon HD 7970, but also 30mm² larger than its GF110. It’s said that GK110-based GeForce GTX 680 will be up to 45% faster than AMD Radeon HD 7970. As for the price, GTX 680 is set at US$649, US$100 higher than HD 7970.

In terms of launch time, some Kepler models will be available in April. According to the source, GK110 and GK104 will debut on Aril 12th, the corresponding products are GeForce GTX 680/670 and GTX 660, respectively. They all support PCI-E 3.0 technology, the performance of GTX 660 will be close to GTX 580, while GTX 680/670 will be 45%/20% faster than Radeon HD 7970, separately.

About time something showed up. The specs are quite impressive, but i doubt we'll see that much of an improvement (still, the specs are almost twice as good as the previous cards). The 7970 was claimed to be twice as fast as the 6970, but in reality, it was only about 20 - 30 % faster. Here's hope that Nvidia is more honest than AMD with all their lies.

seeing this has made me question whether or not to get a mid range gfx card or just to wait or get a bottom of the range card and wait. im getting 2 of the gtx 680 no doubt its also made a new design flash into my head for my project flynn. i havent started cutting anythign yet so im just trying to decide what to do gfx related. but never mind that. yea its about time this little shred of info has came out. i have been dying for even a glimmer. now im taking this with a grain of salt but it is something

45% faster than 7970 yeah maybe 80%

The same shit AMD was saying that 7970 will perform same as 6990 and 590 or even better

Till they not come out, there will be milion of news saying bullshit about kepler and how good they are compare to radeons.

The main thing for me is that, if Nvidia still didnt realase this cards, it means that they still have problem with them, somthing not working as it should be...

Handy info. Was considering a second 560Ti to get me up to about 580 spec, but if the 660 will be close to that I'll wait and grab one of those and repurpose the old card to an older rig. Then I've got the option to go for a second one of those should the need arise.

Latest news/rumours:

http://semiaccurate.com/2012/02/07/gk110-tapes-out-at-last/

According to semiaccurate, the gk110 which is supposedly used for the 60ti/70/80/90 cards aren't going to be released until q3 2012, if that is the case, and all we see is lowend series before then, that's a big fail by nvidia imo. By then amd has already released their 7990 (double gpu card), and could possible have a refresh ready as well.

Q3

that is bad if it's going to be that late, prices are going to stay overpriced for AMD cards as well with no competition.

It's looking like another Fermi episode from Nvidia, If their cards aren't  coming out till Q3 then i'd just wait till Q4 and the 8000 series. The 680 needs to be 45% faster than the 7970 if it's to be released up to 8 months after it, or it will be fail.
