Just Starting

Yep same here. F@H stable can be tricky sometimes. I've had settings before that are bench and prime stable 24/7, but can't fold for an hour. Can be frustrating at times, especially with all the trial and error, but can be worth it in the end.

2nd that!. Also what is stable with a particular WU or series of WU's may not be stable with another WU....

Also welcome to the team!:)

Also if you're dabbling, there's an excellent F@H monitor called HFM.NET. It does all kinds of stats, web page generation. Can even send you an email when one of your clients falls over. Its great and makes things even more interesting...

Oh, and.. I've found that HWmonitor actually crashes some systems that's all but stable, so should be used with caution:D

And.. "Hi everyone" long time, no see!
/D

Rather than start a new thread just figured i'd post in here.

With my 2600k Oced
and my new 780 :D

is 43k PPD roundabout the right place to be sitting ?

yeah - when my 2600k and 670 were running, I was getting between 30K-58K, so give it a week to get a good average of wu's, but it looks like you're on the right track! Congrats and welcome!!!

On Core 17 WU's that 780 should be getting around 100K PPD or more.

In the advanced control section of F@H go to configire, slots, GPU, edit, add, Name is client-type, value is advanced, then click OK, OK, and then save.

After completing the existing WU it should download a Core 17 WU.

Okay i think i did that right :)

went into the GPU and added a 'Extra Slot Option' with:
Name - Client-type
Value - Advanced

Cheers for the help

Edit: Can I do this on the CPU slot too ?
