Have any of you been BSODing with this card? Not because of heat but just after long gaming sessions?

So far ALL of my games BSOD after about an hour or 2 of gaming.

Not overclocked.

once, during shogun2:TW.

i just turned off the AA... you aint going to notice the jagged edges at 1080p

i only use AA for older games that weren't designed to be played at new hi-res (1024x768)

i even play games like: UT3, crysis, cod, silent hunter, etc, at lower resolutions, but then whack-up the quality (in-game and in-CCC)

What BSOD error do you get? i get a locale id 1033? and event id 500 or 501. Either way i need to reinstall Windows 7 anyways. My computer is acting like crap now and reinstalling windows just seems to be the easiest.

since TW got it's update last week it hasn't happened. it may have been down to the game, and not the 6990.

apart from that one time, i havent had any BSODs

For me it has happened with L4D2, BFBC2, Crysis 2, Crysis 1, Metro 2033, MoH etc.

I am thinking it may just be the driver. Sense the drivers are still young this is something i expect.

i think it may be all down to the ATI/nVidia race to get products out before each other.

they both released single slot/dual gpu cards within two weeks of each other.

i think the firmware was rushed/pushed, and it wasnt finished.

both cards have had two updates since they were RTM'd

greedy bast**ds
