.

Benefits are Car as shown in another thread, company petrol card, company hotel card, company Flight card plus lots of extra goodies and Very good pay.

How ever this means im going to have to make a decision about some thing else because this job has me working 24/7 as in as soon as i get home i have to work as well at my own busniess. Doing both has been a real struggle lately and as things pic up its only going to get harder, so either i employ some one to help me or i look at some thing else ....

decisions decisions .....

Congrats! Try both for awhile and if it becomes too much hire somebody to help you out.

I all ready been paying a mate to send the gear for me and help out here and there so i have him in mind if i need him to do more. hes all so been learning about water cooling and pcs at the same time so i know he will do a good job.

Congrats on the job.... Wish someone would give me a chance like that

Ive been contracting for them now for 6 weeks (over 15+ years totally with other blue chip company) and in that time ive blown all there engineer records for work load, e.g there record for jobs in a day is 6 at the most, the avridge work load per engineer is 3 to 5 jobs a day. Two week ago i broke the record for 11 jobs(just a lucky day as all the jobs were close to each other) in one day up in Scotland in the snow and then my average is 5 to 7 jobs a day.

All so they normaly employ some one for a area were as im being taken on as a trouble shooter meaning that were they have fallen behind on work i go in and help them out to catch up with there work load. (none of this imply s im better than any one else just that ill be there to help them catch up, old saying 2 pairs of hands being better than one) So far my working area was from the tip of Scotland down to South Yorkshire but as of today its now the whole of the UK. They all so created what is called there A team (they came up with that) and working with 2 other guys who are there top engineers to do the same. that's what i think they said they are doing anyway. I have a handler who tells me my work load each day.

e.g tomorrow im hitting Newcastle first then to Dumfries then im off to Aberdeen to finish a job there (stopping in a hotel for the night) , my starting point is Darlington.

it is a good thing fella but i can see you dilema regarding your fam and freinds etc etc.

just do what you think is best,we all no its hard to turn down major offers.

to be honest i haven't had friends (as in ppl i see day to day) for a long time. My mates are all over this country and there all good friends such as tom and steph ect ect. Ill get to see my kids every week end so its not a problem, at least i wont have to listen to my daughter bashing like hell on her new drum kit

So hows it going since the first post.

Well ive spent the last few weeks up in Scotland and only had a few days at home.

Every day is different i wake up in the hotel in the morning and phone up work to find were im going and what im doing. this is quite good in the sense that you don't know what your doing how ever its a nightmare in the sense i don't know were ill be from one day to the next.

Ive covered 3,500 miles in 2 1/2 weeks wich shows how much im driving. Ive visited every were in Scotland and its interesting to see it all how ever i don't get much time to really see it.

The work isnt hard how ever and works on the basis of common sense and a little basic knowledge.

Over all not a bad job how ever im really tired due to me getting up at 5:30 and finishing at 18:00 Hrs
