Hello all just joined the site. My name is Aaron and I currently live in Orlando, Fl. I'm a college student at the University of Central Florida and am an electrical engineering major. I also have a minor in intelligent robotic systems.
I've decided that it is time to start building my own workstations as the stock workstation that I am using is no longer powerful enough. I'll be building a duel Xeon rig (based on the ASUS Z9Pe-D8 ws motherboard) not sure on the exact E5 Xeon processors that I am going to use but that will come later. For now I'm trying to decide what graphics card(s) to use. The software that I mainly use greatly favors NVIDIA cards (because of CUDA) so I'm trying to decide between a quadro or a geforce. (I run Autodesk Inventor Professional 2012 *3D CAD)
I've got the budget for a Quadro 5000, but a high end GeForce card or SLI with 2 or more GeForce cards seems pretty tempting as well.
