Didn't really move the team much as RawZ has better results with some of the tests. I couldn't run 32m as the windows tweaks were breaking windows. Could still do some 3dmark 4/vantage/7 runs but that would need me to set up windows 7 and the dice is rather low now.

HeY Tim , Just got a new CPU a I7 980 , the one realeased in June. I put a post in the introductions Portion of the forums with all my info Rig etc, was realy hopping you could read and do a review of the New 980 cpu... I explained the whole deal in the introduction post .. hope you can Help me out .. Cheers mate !!!!

The i7 980 is in essence the i7 980x, just lacking the unlocked multi. It replaces the i7 970.

I don't think Tom will be reviewing the 980 judging by the coverage of the i7 range (most of the chips are identical, just binnded at different speeds),

If you are looking for over clocking tips please feel free to make a thread here in the bench section or in the over clocking section and the guys will give you all the help you need.

I found it quite bizzarre how you managed to call him Tim despite the fact that he has Tom in his username

It could be a typing mistake but a lot of people seem to want to call Tom, Tim.
