I've wanted these speakers for over a year, but i've not had either the money and/or the justification to. My PC is in the living room so a majority of the time i'm limited to heaphones (live with the parents still), BUT the 8 year old Phillips surround sound setup has all but died and the folks have been complaining about watching films and the like with the TV's stock speakers.

So I proposed they put £50 in and i'll connect the DVD player and TV on the condition I can blast some tunes when they aren't watching TV. :P

Pictures and impressions to come monday.:yumyum:

my brother has these and i swear too god sometimes i wanna dropkick him there soo loud!! im not the kind of guy too have a sound system like this due too only using headsets too play css etc and probably my glass desk wudnt enjoy the vibrations :p have fun with them dude and hopefully you have coupled it with a nice sound card

Hehe, well the 1 advantage of living on a rough council estate is that NO ONE is gonna be calling the police. :P

Heard so many good things about these, that I think they'd be my pc experience choice of replacement if my DTT finally packs in.

20+ years and counting I think.

These kinds of purchases, like quality monitors, are solid investments.

1 word review: OMG.

Cant do any pictures or proper impressions as I could only set it up to test it all worked and play a couple of tracks (some **** ended up under a train at Liverpool St. so didn't get home till late >:/).

Hopefully i'll be setting it all up and configuring it properly tomorrow.

If you are listening to tunes mate put it on stereo X2, youll only need the bass on 3 or 4 for everyday use tbh. Its quite interesting a: how heavy the box is and b: how much of the box is the sub :D

I noticed this. Came home, box was there. Mum says, that's heavy, what is it? I go speakers, it's not heavy.

Picks it up and it was like, 9000kg I was like

Then got the speakers out and they were very light, slightly confused

Also, I agree with the stereo x2, i have it on that 99% of the time.

Bass, again, 3 or 4, occasionally 5 when it's not a very heavy track.

Forgot to update this thread, but I guess a few days is needed before I could really pronounce an honest opinion.

And imo these things are the dogs dangly bits. Set up was a breeze, configuration took less than 10 minutes (mainly software with the X-Fi) and the sound is unbelievable. Loud, bass-heavy music is enough to shake bits of plaster off the walls and the scream of a Hunter in L4D in proper 5.1 is enough to scare the neighbours. :P

A few pics I took while setting it up:
