JEDEC are currently developing their DDR5 memory standard, with plans to showcase their first DDR5 SDRAM in June 2017.

I mean this is obvious that they're making it. But it is rather strange that they wouldn't work on something other than ddr? Something that would just be better and a more advanced technology(hbm as system memory for example)
