It is pointless xD, but the thing isn't everything that doesn't benifit you pointless in a way (some exceptions) but in most cases. 1 video wont hurt and I don't think you can buy them after tomorrow ArjenIsM3

They go on sale on the 29th world wide(Newegg/Amazon), and don't rush yourself wait for some reviews.

Yeah I know, but nobody's 100% sure. If they don't start selling them tomorrow I can always hope for webshops to start selling them early like they did with Z77 motherboards, 3570k, 3770..

I can understand unboxing a motherboard, or psu, or case etc.. but a CPU chip? I don't know how this can benefit anyone besides letting people know the product it out, or will be out very shortly. There's not much in a CPU box that no one hasn't seen before, it's the cpu which all look the same, the manual and in some cases the cpu cooler. But each to their own, one video isn't going to hurt me but i just don't understand the concept of unboxing a CPU chip. None the less finally ivy-bridge is out! can't wait to see what will have in store

The BBC have a headline story under the Technology section "Intel launches Ivy Bridge chips" yeah, they don't link to a press release or anything. No other website reports a "launch" as such.

Just found this on the pre-order page for the 3770k of a Dutch webstore.

"Dit is een Pre-order product, de verwachte releasedatum is:24-04-2012"

Which basically translates to: "This is a pre-order product, the expected date of release is 24-02-2012"

Guess we wont be sure till tomorrow, or at least till the reviews go live ;p

Apparently the NDA is lifted at 5pm today, so reviews should start popping up tomorrow although it is information I would take with a pinch of salt.

The site claims it's going to release benchmarks etc after 5pm, but I would have thought that as a part of the NDA you couldn't release information about when the NDA is over.
