Looks more of a form over function board ,for people who want a clean NZXT build , just watched GN quick overview of it , they recon its an ECS board , i have no idea what quality ECS boards are like

Yup, I agree... These look like the Sabertooth motherboards that ASUS released back in 2013-2015 lol. Looks way to plasticy for $299.
Only thing I can think of positivity wise, is that the black one, would fit rather nicely with a blacked out/stealth system.

I think i heard it includes the hue controller and the grid fan controller which could explain the high price

Does have a more than a passing resemblance to ECS' Z370 Lightsaber, albeit that board has less features.
(which looks quite nice to me)
So chances are it'll be a rodded ECS motherboard. Sadly if it ECS, there isn't going to be an AMD equivalent as they don't currently have anything greater than a B350 in their lineup..
Junk, craap, total bottom of the barrel. Just like Biostar and a couple other brands.

I like LEGO, but I don't particularly like the look of LEGO that much.
Thought so too at first, but then again, I find the minimalistic look with all the covers and without any flourish pretty stylish.
I do agree though, that it looks rather plasticy and oh boy, what price did you guys expect for an NZXT product? Their prices are always way higher than the quality of their products suggests.
We'll see how it performs as soon as Tom gets his hands on it

According to the test that Toms ran, this thing is an overpriced piece of crap. Massively power hungry, stupidly hot, lacking features, and you need to use CAM. literally everything about it aside from its clean aesthetics.

Technically, we the purchasers wouldn't be skimping on it. Honestly, for the price it is not worth even considering at this juncture.
You'd be better off just buying a plexiglass panel, and cutting/painting it to your desired colour.
I agree with him. These boards are drab and ugly. The only ones who have pulled off a good looking shield/Armor is the Sabertooth series by ASUS and even then, it had more detail that was appealing, yet still managed simplicity.
These are renders but there is nothing there to catch the eye.
Truth be told, this board is quite anemic, but.....
If those two x4 slots are direct from the PCH flexi-lanes, they kind of make up for it a bit by providing the bare lanes to add cards for what you want instead of tasking those lanes permanently to USB 3.1 Type 2 or SATA, or.... Looking at it this way, and if those are flexi-lanes wired to PCIe x4 slots, this could be a quite flexible board, even if it ships anemic.
The "armor" or whatever they are calling that serves no thermal purpose, so it can be removed and painted any color(s) you want. That might be a plus in it's favor.
Steve at Gamer's Nexus seems 100% sure that it's an ECS OEM on it. I guess we'll see how the board stacks up in testing. ECS doesn't have that serious of a track record outside of server space and commodity locked-clock prebuilt PCs.
