Yeah, funnily enough we were talking about something like the host selection in the stores a few moments ago. (w8ing for pcs to build)

I dont understand why but i usualy do around 30-50% worse on my own host, general 4-1 round s&d game i usualy do around 10-2 & on my own host i usualy get 6-3, domination usualy a 4:1 kd ratio & own host 2.5:1
People seem to sponge more on my own host but that might be the fact that theres more or less 0 lag and im used to slightly leading my shots (famas/intervention nub here)
As to getting host IWnet keeps a host record iirc and it judges who gets host by that when it needs to switch, so if you get host while not on your usb dongle and its ok/good it would be likely to give it you & if you rarely get it and when you do its not very good your less likely to get it at all due to the host record.
and at the if you get host it will reap your bw on the usb dongle idea i think im going to set my 360 up though my pc (dual gbit ethernet & link them) then run a bw monitor while playing and work out how much it uses while on and off host as im curious now (find out how much my pc uses idle with everything quit minus av/firewall then subtract that from whats being used w/ 360 on, in lobby, ingame and while host to work out how much is being used)
