Is your PC ready for Cities Skylines 2? Here's what you need to run it

I looked at what's contained in the Ultimate edition and at that point I'm just seeing them milking it Bridges as an expansion pack really!!, the first 1 it's like they ran out of ideas for DLC this looks like they are starting out in that state

This is what put me off the first one, after I purchased the so called "Ultimate Bundle" that was supposed to contain everything up to that point, and then finding out there was certain items missing, as well as a few other small bits planned, I said nope no more.

The fact there is 3 radio stations as "DLC" is an insult, the bridges & ports being an expansion again is an insult.

I will not be buying this game!

I will pick this up on sale like I did with the first one. This kind of DLC is atrocious. Its making a mockery of the DLC concept entirely.

They are basically admitting to launching an incomplete game, and if you want the fully playable version, you need to pay more.

It looks absolutely fantastic, and I wonder if their confidence in their own title is so strong that it will succeed, that they chose the bold option to risk locking what I think is necessary features behind DLC.

This kind of game has existed for ages, and there were always stupid people to buy them, I don't think this is going to change, at the very least cities is a very entertaining game, but I'll just play the base version on game pass and be done with it. I would be more inclined to download a cracked version of it than to pay for all those DLCs, that's just stupid, you're paying like 10x the game price just on DLCs and they aren't even big DLCs.

I would have no problem with that if no DLC ever surpassed 5 bucks at full price and especially those like "3 radio stations" DLCs should cost pennies.

I get your point, but careful about writing things like that on this forum.

I reckon, all these sim games are trying to do what MAxis perfected with "The sims". But what Maxis at least did, was give you a complete game from Day 1. And just added more fluff and fun to it.

What I see today from others, is giving you a playable 70% game where to fully enjoy the base version as it should be enjoyed, you have to pay up for the other 30%.

I played the first game some it's not half bad, but i didn't buy next to anything of the DLC and you'd all expect them to follow the exact same idea, so i doubt i'll buy much DLC for this either, you have a choice.

Dead island 2 is like that.

We completed it the other day and the story is miles from over.

I too hate stuff like this. £50 for half a game. I only paid £20, but I still only got half a game.

Kinda reminds me of a Matrix movie I watched once at the cinema. Over two hours to find it was half of it. I never saw the second bit.

So scummy tbh.

even when looking the San Franciso set is a day one DLC with extra map so it's in the game just hidden behind a paywall definitely th paradox vibe of late
