Is this ssd worth it?

For a while now I have been looking to get my first ssd, then I found this - https://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecial...id+State+Hard+Drive+-+Refurb+?productId=51655

A 128gb ssd with decent speeds for £48, Surely it is a no brainer.

However the reason for the price is that it is a refurbished ssd and also after looking up customer reviews apparently it is not very reliable.

What you think?

If the reviews are not very good I wouldn't go for it, regardless of the price.

I'd probably say no.
As you only get a £30 day warranty I wouldnt want to risk it tbh.
Considering you could get:

For a lower price, and get a 3 year warranty with it - even if it is OCZ and it will most likely die, you'll still get a new one when it fails.

Or spend a little more and get:

Probably a little more reliable, and again with the 3 year warranty. I wouldnt risk it with the Corsairs anything over about 25/30 quid

Be sure to create a system image every day if you do go for the OCZ

Or just put windows and games on, no files.
If it's steam or origin, back up the game files to your 1TB HDD and then you wont have anything worth losing

Aye, I really couldn't care less if my SSDs blew up, as there's no data on there which isn't downloadable from the internet.
If it's covered by a warranty or is dirt cheap to replace, I don't really see why you shouldn't do it.

I got the 60gb one but the speeds are pretty bad given they are advertised as 550 max, mine is 360 ffs and i'm considering sending the bugger back :lol:

Let me know how you get on with yours as my new found experience with SSD's is not all that.

360MB/s is still faster than any HDD that I know of, and it should be plenty fast to work with. As long as those random 4k reads are good, I don't see why you should be concerned.
Is it feeling sluggish to you? Because I don't see why it should.
