Is this a good start?

btw how do you get enough money to build a system like that Diablo????

im a student so its not gonna happen for a while :nopitty; although MSDN helps!!!

I'm a student, which helps with the licensing costs (chemdraw would be £1000ish per year, office enterprise £300+ etc.) but I got a job over the summer and raised about £800 towards the system. The other money came from my primary source of income (same as my petrol money, tuition fees, insurance, accomadation etc.) that is my parents.

You could also have a look at Tom's Hardware $500 pc or something, which will probably be a similar price when translated.

Wow so much to look into thank you for all your help!

Once I have all the bits will start a thread and build it up with pictures so that other starters like me will have somewhere to start from :D

I am gonna buy that Custom PC Mag today, was going to buy it yesterday but the only copy on the shelf looked like some tramp had already used it as his toilet paper so thought would try a different shop!!

I aint a student though, which sucks, I work for Virgin Media as one of their service engineers (50mb broadband being released over the next few weeks you may be live now!!) but I do have a copy of Vista that I bought from Makro for £45 not so long ago, aint opened it yet!

Better go gotta fix some TV's will check back tonight!

Thanks again for all your pointers! :D

Ok change of plans!

Sorry!

I have been pricing everything up and the BluRay side is now not going to happen! I am just going to build up a half decent gaming PC.

Here are my thoughts so far...

Coolermaster Elite 335 Case - £35

Gigabyte GA-EP43-S3L iP43 Skt 775 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard - £65

Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.8GHz Socket 775 1066MHz FSB 3MB L2 Cache - £100

OCZ 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 Memory NVIDIA SLI READY EDITION CL5 - £40

Any comments on my idea so far?
