Is the Corsair Braided Cable Upgrade really all of the cables?

Hey guys,

I have an AX850, and I want to buy one of the Corsair Individually Sleeved Cable Upgrade Kits. From what I've heard there is supposed to be a replacement cable for all of the originals, but on descriptions on retailers websites they only list a single PCIe power cable (Well, a single cable which splits into two 8 pins), but the original cables had two of these double cables, giving 4 8pin PCIe connectors, which is what I need for SLI. Does anybody know which the kits have? If not I'll just have to sleeve the other myself, which is fine, but I think it's a bit stupid they don't include all of the cables that came with the PSU originally..

Thanks

Yeah, the kits do have two of those connectors. They're really good if you're only using 6 pins too as you can pull the whole set round

Wow, suuuper fast reply :D Thanks a lot mate :) Can't wait to get a set, just waiting until I have some more money so I can put in a biggish order at SpecialTech to save on paying postage multiple times :)

Hi Remmy,
Keep in mind , you still have to buy the 24pin motherboard cable separately.
I'm not sure if you knew that.

every description I have seen for those cables specifically says 2 8pin (6+2 split) pci-e cables. its one reason I have bought them as I run xfire

The 850 wont need the separate 24 pin power cable that is for the newer gen psus so 760/860 and the i variants.

I am not sure about the older kits but I recently bought the new gen kit and it came with 4 normal 6+2 pin pcie cables and 2 pigs tail (i think they are called) 6+2pin pcie cables. If you look at my rig in the project logs section you can see the 4 pcie cables in place to give you an idea what they look like.
