Is my 7850 overheating?

Hi there, recently bf3 has been giving a few issues. Twice it has locked up on me. It happens after a heavy session maybe 2-3 hours. I've been monitoring my temps and it seems like my card is slowly reaching the 60'c Mark. Now although it hasnt hit it yet im wondering that when it does is my card going into some sort of failsafe mode and shutting down? Its an MSI twin Frozr OC edition.

The cards can go above 70*C easily, so any jittering isn't your temps. You on all the latest drivers and whatnot?

Yeah catalyst keep everything up to date for me. Really strange. Its funny because Bad company 2 used to do exactly the same thing with my old rig.

can also be ram timings on auto not manually set

Does it pop up at the bottom saying display driver stopped working? happens to me on my 6850/7870 if my oc isnt stable

My RAM settings are on auto but apparently its the best mode for this board. They do read as correct as well.

Need to update my bios but apart from that its all done. Like I say catalyst keeps it all up to date.

I'd update absolute everything. Find your motherboard on its manufacturer's website and check for chipset drivers, Intel Managment Engine etc.
I'd also try uninstalling/reinstalling the game.

i had same issues on bf3 with overclocked 7850 ,it was memory which gave me trouble ,when i underclocked it like 25mhz (to the 1300Mhz) i never had that issue again

lol this is overclocked from the manufacturer. I think next time I will just get a pretty much stock graphics card.

Have you tried lowering the memory clock? See if it does help?
