Is My 3570k any good?

cheers dude, you and me both and i was the one doing the OC not sure what better the winning lottery or winner the chips set lorrery jack pot :)

Well, I've just finished trying, with the realisation that my chip will only ever do 5GHz CPU-Z stable. I tried to get my WEI up from 7.7 but it just wasn't having it. I could get 7.8, but that would be superfluous :( Go big or go home, etc.
Ah well. Back to the land of 4.5GHz.

I wounded if I could get the 5.2 stable enough for a WEI just to see if I could get that ever elusive 7.9 :-) cuz the 5.0 only gave me 7.8 as well

5.0 only gives 7.9? I'm well and truly stuffed.
Did you try at 5.1?
It seems Windows System Assessor (or something similar) doesn't like such high vcore, and just constantly crashed.

If this all pans out I may end up with a second 3570k, now I hope its another golden chip but I am not banking on it, ;) but I was thinking of trying a naked die run with the new chip has anyone tried this and seen and good results?

As far as I know, no one on these forums has yet to try it, no.
I've seen mixed results, however - some showing that not much improvement is made, others seeing massive improvements. Tis a big risk though.

I agree the that there is a huge risk, but it is a free CPU so.......... big dreams lol, if results are mixed which is what my research comes up with will most likely sell it and put cost towards a water chiller
