Hi all new to the forum. :)

Final got a new rig gone from my Q6600 to my new shinny 3570K.
Sadly still on stock cooler as I am waiting for H2O block to arrive,
So I thought I would see if my Chip is any good but have no baseline to compare it to looked around but came up short.

So thought I would pose the question up here

3570K @ 4.2 ( Will OC higher with better Cooler)
VID 0.8250v
Vcore 1.024v Idle
Vcore 1.016v Load (CPU-Z Read outs)
MSI Z77A-GD55

Thought Please

Cheers

in what conditions are the stats max core clock with temps these stats show nothing really you could have a cool 3570k with pretty good temps and we wouldn't know and you should wait until your cooler arives then you can tests it at differnt clocks multipliers and vcores

Thanks for the replay, The temps are nothing to write home about due to Stock cooler i believe,

Core 0 68c
Core 1 69c
Core 2 67c
Core 3 70c

All at 100% useage running Prime 95

There's no way you can tell before you've got proper cooling.
Most Ivybridge chips will go up to 4.2ghz without increasing the voltage.
When you get the new cooler, put it up to 4.5ghz and see what voltages you need then. Around 1.22v is about average for a 4.5ghz OC

Hi all again, The new Water block is all up and running and testing for a while still have not found sweet spot but specs as follows

3570K @ 4.5

1.088 V under load (From CPU-Z)
Recon it will go lower just have not found that perfect Voltage

Real Temp 3.70
Core 0 59c
Core 1 66c
Core 2 65c
Core 3 64c

All at 100% usage running Prime 95

Any feed back would be helpful thanks

Don't be sad dude, the average volts for 4.5GHz is I'd say around 1.2V
Anything below that is pretty good.

Also, try using IBT for stress testing. It's faster and you'll get a better estimate of how you're doing for stability.

Just started a new Prime95 test lets see if it holds

As 'Smurf said, try Intel Burn Test. Run it on Maximum for 10 runs and see how you fare. If it holds, I am INCREDIBLY jealous.

Hahaha, are you actually joking?

Anyone can start a prime test with their finger on print screen...
Dont post claimed overclocks until you actually have it stable mate...
...we can smell bullshit from the UK to New Zealand...

@jamesriley94 WOW dude i feel a lot of hostile natured post from yourself. I was pointed to this forum for advice. you asked for a Pic so i gave you one, IB is a new chip to me so i don't know whats good or not, which is why i came on.

Will take a look at IBT and let people know

You can have advice - absolutely fine...
But you cant really come here and brag about overclocks when you havent fully checked stability.

Prime test it for 12 hours - if it's stable after that, then fine - I'll even apologise if you can get stable at 4.5ghz at anything under 1.17v...

1.17v for 4.5ghz would be absolutely amazing itself...
1.104 is impossible.
