Is 2007 just the worst year for Intel hardware breaking??

Dunno about Intel`s stuff, but since the turning of 2007 I`ve had about 4/5 sata hard drives fail in brand spanking new machines so far. U can actually hear the heads click to the fault usually.

I have no problems with my setup :)

Last hardware problem I had was 3 systems ago, when I had a P4 1.6a clocked to 2.4Ghz. The mobo blew up, altho that was down to a crappy QTec PSU blowing after 12hours of use  :( . I replaced it with a intel mobo and gave it to my dad :) he is still using it as his home system.

You must all be pushing stuff too much or something.

If u mean me m8y, I`m talking about out of the box units with builds already on them and dieing as u take em to the users. (boxes received perfect btw, no `dropped on the way` shizzle.)

All the hardware is pre tested to a level, and all the pcs come in at that safe level, no clocks or tweaks or gambles made therein ;)

XMS I saw your P5B stopped posting, no beeps, no sign of life. I've had this happen to me before.

What you do is shut off the PSU, and clear the CMOS. Then proceed to remove the video card, sound card, and memory. Once you have those things removed, fire up the rig. It should beep a few times. Hold the power button to shut it down, and turn off the PSU. Re-install the video card and ram. Tada, life :)

Believe me mate, I know every P5B reset in the book. It happened to me a few times, and I did pretty much the above to get it working - but on the last time it was a no-go no matter what i did.
