iPod Shuffle - Smaller but with increased capacity

That is shocking, you can't even use a decent pair of third party headphones, and what happens when the earphones break?- you're left having to stump out a tonne of cash for apple branded crap that's more tinny than a clock radio speaker.

Backwards, money making step in my opinion.

as much as i love apple things, thats just the apple way.

Wow, it's almost like apple actually made one of those spoof products.

Shuffles never were something I liked, but being forced to use the apple headphones is rediculous.

I dunno why but I just dont fancy using any apple products

Some guys are like "im getting a mac book"

I just see them as really expensive old tech, sure they run well but its still old tech - almost like how i stand against paying loads for branded clothes when i can get the same style for £20 from say burtons

Mbp I played with this afternoon had 4g in it and a 2.6g c2d or so.

Smelt nice too.

Damn disrespectful user had fingerprints all over the screen. I shoulda slapped em tbh :p

Ofc these are old now cos the newer mbp are hitting the shelves :yumyum:

(smell the same too!)

Apple, alot like Marmite, you either love it or hate it, got my first Apple computer in Dec and im lovin it, now have a macbook also. Anyways the shuffle looks good, very small I already have a Nano from the last gen so not sure if id need this just a nice idea for more mobile use I guess.

So does the fact that I like the look of the hardware, but am frustrated by how it's not windows on the software make me an exception to the rule?

I'd totally put windows on mine if i ever got one :P

Dan

I don't see what all the fuss is about really.

At the end of the day, at least they are doing more than "rebranding" old products to be like new, as per the likes of nvidia etc.

They have managed to redesign, increase capacity and shrink the physical size. Not bad in my opinion if you take this into consideration.

Yes I agree that the earphone situation is a farse, but at least Apple are innovating rather than rebranding

I like the really small design of the new shuffle, but what's with the lack of third party headphone support, because the apple ones are [can't say this without a banning]. If I want a tinny sound which has to be turned up to full volume to hear, I would buy apple headphones. As it is I love my SE530s.

Also loving the imacshuffle!

Hey guys what about this scenario.

Someone just spent £60 on a pair of headphones.

But finds out he can't use them on his iPod Shufle.

Tricky eh?

What if it was a one time thing?

Maybe that person had to save his allowance to buy said headphones and ends up finding out they don't work. Well don't look at me lol.

Save up yet more and go for a nano? I know what you mean, my Shures cost £280, so if they didn't work with something, I'd be pretty po'd
