Hi people, long time no see

and my sig needs a bit of an update

i dont have pics yet, but my current rig spec's are as follows:

Processor: AMD Athlon 644200+ 939

Motherboard: Asus A8N SLI-Premium

Ram: 3GB Corsair DDR400

Graphics: ATi Radeon HD3650

HDD1: 80 Gb Samsung SATA

HDD2: 500 Gb Hitachi SATA

HDD3: LACIE 1TB external usb

PSU: 800W Tagan ...somthing or other ....my 6 year old Hiper Type R blew up on me a few weeks back, but it didnt take anything else with it, it just blew itself.

DVD: LG DVDRW litescribe

Case: Lian Li PC-7BK

Cooling: Yeah, it has some of that, cant remember what tho, standard lian li fans, and a thermalright XP-120 i believe

Monitor: DGM 22" DVI 1680x1050

Monitor 2: Samsung HDTV 32" 1080p - HDMI - 1920x1080

Mouse: Logitech G500

Keyboard: Saitek Eclipse mk1

OS: Vista

im looking for a few upgrades come the new year

thinking of investing in one of those solid state thingy's ...

the 128 gig one, to replace my samsung as main drive

either that or a WD raptor ...

ive never been one to jump head first into a new tech, so i may go for the raptor

and then replace my hitachi which is getting on for 5 years old with a 2tb drive

most of that stuff is 5/6 years old now, and still running perfectly...apart from the psu as specified...

another upgrade may be to 4 gigs of ram, but on vista 32 bit, it seems a bit pointless...

im not a gamer(as you can probs tell by the graphics card?), i just like a fast, fairly powerful rig

i am into my audio though, but i use onboard sound, because i never did like creative cards tbh...

EDIT: when my iMac comes, ill be taking my pc apart, and giving it a well overdue overhaul, removing dust etc etc

aww, this setup is actually brilliant, can lay on my bed, ps3, tv, watch blu-ray

or, can sit on my bed, and watch somthing off my hard drive, or youtube, full screened on my tv ....

its brilliant.

yeah, summet like that, and i was wondering why my processor was idling at 80, and under heavy usage got to 115

LMFAO!!

i blew most of the dust out, rebuilt the system, it now idles at 28, and loads at about 55 ...compared with idling at about 55, and load anywhere from 80 upwards
