Hello,

My name is Fred Ross. As you can see I'm going by FredEx. I've been on the net since a friend had a popular BBS in Indiana, USA and had a sat' feed via a college. That was before any ISPs existed. There wasn't a great deal to do back then.

My main career has been in computer repair, electronics and high tech electrical control systems. Any companies I have worked for that anybody may have heard of are Motorola and Bosch. Motorola in the late 70's into the 80's and Bosch, the mid 80's to 90. I did RF radios at Motorola in the communications group where the equipment was built. All base stations, from low band to 800 Mhz (which was new then), digital voice protection scrambled. At Bosch we designed and built assembly lines for anybody. I worked on the electrical and electronics dealing with those. Low voltage to 3 phase. I got to be good at making wiring look very neat in control panels, helps now when building a system.

In between those places I mostly did computer repair, component level and then we sent the repaired boards back out to field techs doing board swapping at customer sites.

Long time friends know I can ramble on and on, like in this message. Other times I may be short and to the point, "Yep", "Nope".

Very happy that months ago I ran across TTL doing a review video. I was impressed when I signed up for the forums and I'd hit enter to send my completed form and POOF, I instantly had an e-mail so I could verify. I have never had a set-up work that fast. Same thing when I entered the contest, instantly a verify e-mail.

Okay, okay, I'll shut up now...I'm going on like TTL in a video. :-)
