accelerators mate, have a look on P.2 of the link I gave in the news article. LOL look at the comparison of the OS's role in the first image (what we have now), and then the second one (what Intel and we want). Someone had better tell Microsoft

Tell em to scrap the windows 3.11 framework and start from the beginning. No 8.3, no 16/32/64/128? bit processor dependancies, no rebotching of old code. Start from scratch essentially.

Need to aquire another company perhaps. Lookout Apple. lol

I would really love to see someone like IBM get there first and kick Intel in the teeth, just for AMDs sake. If Intel get these out in the next year AMD will be handing in their letter of resignation from the CPU game tbh, especially considering the weakass stuff they have up their sleeve at the moment (compared to Intels performance predictions)

Seems like a hardware fix for the software coders downfall. Id be willing to bet this isnt going to be JUST Intel. It was just their idea. This tells me why i think this.

Intel and AMD extended their processors with MMX, SSE/2/3/4 to include the SIMD model, which is “Single Instruction Multiple Data”.

Yea, but whos to say AMD isnt doing the same thing with a different name and we just havent heard about it. Seems to me that we always catch word of Intel things first then AMD things next.
