ok so, this probably isnt the perfect forum for this, and there has probably been loads of discussion on this in every other corner of the internet, but why not...
So, when earlier it came to the amd's vs the pentiums, I'd say that I've been a fan of the AMD's (benchmarks tests and whatnot), now they're both running into the dual-core processor arena, and i've seen some benchmarks where they're pretty much running close to each other, i think the X2's were further ahead, but not by an extreme edge. now heres the thing, when it comes to prices, the X2's seem to be considerably more expensive than the pentium D's out there, am I simply comparing the wrong models to each other? and when it comes down to it, amd vs pentium today, the line of 64's vs the line of p4's and d's, where are they standing compared to each other? (i'm sure the answers will have at least somewhat of a bias noting the forum this is in
, but hey, i seem to need reinforcement in my belief in amd heh )
