Intel To Delay Ivy Bridge Cpu's

God damn you Intel, why u keep delaying Ivy

It's been ready to go since last year, Z77 motherboards are ready to go, Ivy engineering samples are floating around but Intel still keep delaying it

I read somewhere (probably TechPowerUp) that there will still be a paper launch in March/April, but they'll be like the proverbial rocking horse droppings until late spring.

Upside to that is the Z77 boards might pop up on the paper date, giving people time to pick the best board before the chips are for sale.

Yea, hopefully, they bring out the boards before the CPU's, I'm gonna pick up a board on release and it will give me some time to get everything else ready in time for the final release of the CPU's.

I hope you have a way to check your MB to be sure you don't get a dead/defective one. Would suck to find out so when its too late to rma. Also don't forget those chipset problems the Sandy Bridge boards had when they launched.

Well, I'm just going to buy, not unbox it or anything. How long do you have to RMA something if its bust?

We've not been told of any desktop delays. The issued schedules are what they are at this point.

However we have seen made up reports of delays by a few "news" sites and later explainations that what they meant was mobile chipsets and we weren't actually wrong as we never are.

No news + made up stuff = manufacturer taking the heat.

Again.
